We're just getting started - and we believe this work is stronger when it's shared.
If you have ideas, skills, connections, or resources that could support North metro workers, we'd love to hear from you. This could include:
Community events we should attend
Local efforts we should amplify
Organizations we should connect with
Legal, language, or tech skills you'd like to offer
Your own lived experience or story
Email us at northmetroworkersproject@gmail.com
Let us know a little about who you are and how you'd like to help.
We may not be able to reply right away -- but your message will be read and appreciated.
My name is Connor Olson, and I launched the North Metro Workers Project in 2025 to help regular people in the north suburbs (my neighbors) navigate workplace problems easier with accurate, issue specific information from institutions and resources that can sometimes feel out of reach.
I spent a couple of years working as an industrial painter and inspector before going back to school to study political science at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. I've done campaign work, interned in government, and I'm hoping to build a career in public service focused on worker advocacy.
I built this project because I've seen how hard it can be to get connected with help, especially for workplace issues.
My future goals for this website are to strengthen the workplace resources pages, adding Housing resources, and to include a comprehensive breakdown of each city/town's resources in Anoka County as well as what your elected officials can do for you.
I hope this project is able to help answer questions, connect you with support, and serve as a reference if you're ever unsure of your rights as a worker.
